Kenneth Frank Bulkley

Kenneth Frank Bulkley, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, integrity, and unwavering faith. He was born on October 28, 1946, in San Jose, California.

Ken was married to the love of his life, Tanya Bulkley, for 57 beautiful years. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and service. Ken is survived by his devoted wife Tanya; their daughter Cherie Bolton and her husband Dean; their son Justin Bulkley and his wife Stacy; and his sister, Connie Biaggi. He was a proud grandfather to Tyson, Tristan, Patrick, Kenya, Sierra, Bailey, and Jaben; and a joyful great-grandfather to Truman, Athena, Azariah, and Isla.

For 25 years, Ken served his community with courage and compassion as a firefighter, retiring in 2009. He was known among his peers as a "gentle giant" — a man whose strength was matched only by his kindness, honesty, and humility.

Above all, Ken was a man of deep and abiding faith. He loved Jesus with his whole heart and lived a life that reflected that love through his actions, his words, and his quiet strength. Whether helping a neighbor, mentoring younger generations, or simply offering a listening ear, Ken’s life was a testament to God’s grace and love.

Words that best describe Ken are: integrity, kind, gentle, honest, and compassionate. His presence was a blessing to all who knew him, and his memory will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

There will be two celebration of life services to honor Ken. The first will be held on Saturday May 24th 10:00am at Calvary Chapel FourteenSix 15175 W Mondell Rd Surprise, AZ. The second will be held July 12th at The Holland Ranch 2275 Carpenter Canyon Rd San Luis Obispo, CA at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to FourteenSix Christian Academy honoring Ken’s lifelong commitment to service and faith.

He fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. He will be dearly missed.
