Kenneth was born in the Bronx New York. Son of Arnold and Dorothy Stewart. Survived by wife Patricia. Son Robert (wife Lyndsay) and son Kenneth jr. Brother Douglas Stewart (wife Linda sahagian- Stewart) Brother Robert Stewart (wife Diane Stewart). Grandchildren Samantha Cappo (husband Joseph Cappo) and Matthew Stewart. He met Patricia in 1962. He was best man and Patricia was maid of honor at a wedding.
In his early years Ken worked in construction. He was always proud that he worked on the World Trade Center. In 1969 he graduated from new your city community college with a degree in hotel management. In 1979 he moved to phoenix Arizona.
In 1980 Kenneth and Patricia started a company called Hairstyles by Patricia. That company operates beauty salons in retirement centers throughout the metro Phoenix area. Ken enjoyed driving trips but most of all he loved cruises. Patricia and Kenneth went on over 50 cruises.
Ken was so proud of his grandchildren Matthew and Samantha. He loved going to his grandson's baseball games. Matt was 5 years old when he started playing. He loved them more than life itself. I can’t leave out our little dog “Specks”. He loved that dog.
He was a trustee at the Elks lodge 335 until February of this year.
Two of his favorite sayings were:
Think - it’s not illegal yet.
Swing for the fences! Our grandson is in college on a baseball scholarship. So, Ken always told him - swing for the fences.
He liked being called pop pop by his grandchildren. We had a home in Pine, AZ. That was our weekend getaway. He loved that home and Pine.
I want to thank Robert and Lyndsay, Matthew, Samantha and Joe for being my support this final week of Ken’s life. He loved you all very much. He did not die alone. I will be forever grateful.
