Last weekend, March 10, 2018, I attended my 50th high school class reunion. There I met a retired fireman who, after a brief exchange, informed me that Larry had passed. I was saddened to receive this news. Larry was my first love. I met him a month before he left for Viet Nam. I waited for him to return and we were together until I graduated from high school then left for college. Years passed. But we met one time shortly before he was to marry Suzy. Then retired, he told me about her, showed me pictures of her and caught me up on his life. He was so proud of her, his family working as a fireman and his musical accomplishments. A piece of who I am is lost with the knowledge of his death. My belated condolences to Suzy and his family.

Also knew Larry from Handle Bar J and also from the Fire Dept in my local area. He was such well know figure, both in the fire department and in his social life. Always enjoyed his presence. Will always be part of my good memories....Catherine Tardiff

Larry will always hold a special place in the Jensen Family's hearts. He, along with Billy Scott, Tiller & friends, worked & played with my deceased husband, Steve, to create songs & ditties for educating children on fire, water safety & burn prevention. Truth be told the had as much fun entertaining themselves as the did their young audiences! Larry will be greeted at heaven's door by a dear friend. May you his family and loved ones find comfort in his memories and the many contributions he made at so many levels & in so many ways: fireman, public fire safety educator, musician, husband, father, grandfather, brother, neighbor & friend to so many, blessings from our family to yours, Linda MacLeish Jensen, Jason Jensen & Betty Jensen

To the Powell Family, my sympathy to the family. I met Larry at Handle Bar J, several years ago, and in a very short time that i knew Larry, he was the kindest, funniest soul i will have ever met, I will miss Larry in his corner. Heaven has received another amazing soul. Your friend always, Josie Miotke

I will miss Larry's sense of humor and kind nature. Somehow HBJ's will never be the same without him holding court at his designated place at the bar. Larry, wherever you are save me a seat buddy.

Larry was my best male friend of over 14 years. I am dishearten by his death. I am blessed to have known such a courageous, honorable, kind, generous and whitty man. He was TRULY a role model of how to treat others.
Love Debbie Foedish

Gary's bass tournament will never be the same without you, Buck...I hope that you two are fishing together right now. I will miss you.

HEY BUCK, THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT DANCING MUSIC AND ALL OUR GOOD TIMES FISHING AT LAKE POWELL.
Bill & Toni Yowell (Prescott, Az)

I have known Larry since I was 14. He is one of the reasons I became a Paramedic. When he would dance with me he would twirl me until I was dizzy! Although I haven't seen him in a long while, I think of him often. I'm sorry I didn't know he was ill. My thoughts and prayers are with family.... Please inform me of services.. 623 221 6162... Thank you... Sincerely, Jenni Heinz....
