

The surviving immediate family include two children: Rene’ (Mick) Del Greco of League City, TX, and Alan (Carrie) Stephens of Phoenix, AZ. Two grandchildren: Taylor (Jordan) Swenson of Flagstaff, AZ and Bryan (Nicole) Stephens of Phoenix, AZ, and great grandchild: Joseph Stephens of Phoenix, AZ.
Larry graduated from Hutsonville High School, served in the US Army, and retired after 32 years from Howmet Corporation in LaPorte, IN, where he worked as plant manager. Larry enjoyed vegetable gardening, worldwide traveling, computer technology, and generously loved his family. In 1935, Larry was born to Denzil Stephens and Ruth Elliott Stephens in Crawford County, IL. Larry was the eldest of 12 children. Surviving siblings include: Leah (Larry) Buser of Palestine, IL, Lynn (Marisol) Stephens of Robinson, IL, Margie (Charles) Jackson of West Union, IL, Stanley (Diana) Stephens of Hutsonville, IL, Mary Stephens of Hutsonville, IL, Philip (Janey) Stephens of Batesville, IN, Martin (Roberta) Stephens of Martinsville, IL, Roger Stephens of Annapolis, IL, and Robert Stephens of Oblong, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jamie Stephens and Gilbert Stephens, and sister, Lois Harris.
A memorial service will be held at The Christian Church in West Union, IL, on April 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The spreading of ashes and memorial tree planting is scheduled in June at SelahRest in Flagstaff, AZ.
