Laszlo is preceded in death by his loving wife, Gizella; and his father, Laszlo Sr. He is survived by his son, Stephen; his mother, Elizabeth; his sister, Eva; his brother-in-law, Gabor; his mother-in-law, Maria; his nephew and his wife, Thomas and Amy, and their children Bette and Emmie; his niece and her husband Eva and Carlos, and their children András and Gabriela; and countless other family members, friends, and acquaintances.
Laszlo was born on December 22nd, 1945 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany to his mother, Elizabeth and his father, Laszlo. At a young age his family emigrated from Europe to the United States, settling in Cleveland, Ohio after a number of years. He earned an undergraduate degree from John Carroll University and a Master’s Degree from Kent State University and began his career as an educator. While in Cleveland he met the love of his life, Gizella Beck, and they got married on June 28th, 1968.
In 1975 Laszlo and Gizella moved to Phoenix, Arizona to start a new chapter of their lives. Laszlo shifted careers and became a small business owner in Phoenix, successfully starting businesses such as a daycare for children and an office supply and delivery retailer. In 1989, their son Stephen was born. Dedicated and loving parents, Stephen was their pride and joy.
Laszlo was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was also a news junkie, and could always be seen reading up on the latest news and politics in the US and around the world. His Hungarian roots were a source of pride, and his ties to the Hungarian community in Cleveland can still be felt to this day.
But above all else he loved his family and friends. Anyone who met Laszlo will know what a dedicated, strong, caring, hard-working, and loving person he was. He was the epitome of magnanimity and decency and always went out of the way to make sure everyone in his life was taken care of before himself. He will be dearly missed but his spirit will live on with those whose lives he touched. Gone, but never forgotten.
