So sorry to see Laura Lee's name in the obituary.   She had moved after selling her home and we did not have a forwarding address.    She was a good friend and she will be missed by everyone who knew her, I am sure.  We carpooled to work and we had many interesting conversations. I still remember my mom talking about how LL helped her keep her sanity after moving in with the family at 19, and fresh off the boat from England. Sadly, we all have drifted apart in recent years. I worked with Laura off and on since 1982.  We kept in touch and often ran into each other at doll shows, and we were in the Az. Bead Society together.  Laura was always a good friend.

I worked at the DDD Metro office with Laura back in the early 90's.  She was so funny, what a character!  She always made me laugh.  What a dedicated case manager she was.  My thoughts and prayers go to the family at this difficult time.  Vaya con Dios Laura.

I meet Laura about a year ago when she came to reside at Bella Vista Assisted Living, where myself and my daughter worked. We spent many hours with Laura caring for her, but she always was caring for us too! She quickly became part of our hearts, our family, and we loved her much. She always had great words of wisdom and great stories to share, we will miss her..We love you so Laura.

Mark - I will never forget how I met your Mom and you.  You went to kindergarden with Bob and we have remained friends since then.  I won't mention the years.  I remember the day she brought Cindy home from the hospital.  Your Mom visited me when we lived on Garfield St. often as I used to watch Cindy for her from time to time. Then we both ended up relatively close to one another in Paradise Valley.  We sometime would only talk once or twice a year but it was like we never lost track of each others comings and goings.  I remember Cindy coming to visit us and I will never forget the Mother's Day you showed up with a flower and a hug to wish me a happy day.  Your Mom was so proud of you. She lived life to the fullest and I will always cherish the memories I have.  Take care and keep in touch.  Everyone loved your Mom.  She was the greatest.  You must be so proud to have been her Son.  We love you and if you ever need anything you know where you can come.  Laura RIP.  Love you.

Laura is my much-loved cousin and friend.  We were very close for many years. Sadly, we drifted apart for the last few years but Laura was often in my thoughts and I will miss her always.

My wife, Carol, and I met Laura at Sun Grove Resort Village several years ago. We would have evening social meetings under the stars and enjoyed sharing our life experiences with each other. Laura had a fantastic personality and was full of great stories about the 1950's Phoenix. Laura loved to tell and hear jokes and we spent many nights laughing together. Laura truly cared about people and she helped people all her life as a Social Worker and a friend. Laura was trapped in her failing body but we know her Spirit now lights up the Sky as a new brillant Star in the Heavens. We will miss you Laura but this is not Goodbye but see you again. Our loss is Heaven's gain and we celebrate your Life as a "Job Well Done!"

Laura Lee was the family Patriarch of the Marchese side of our family.  She was the daughter of Sally Capri who was the daughter of Sophie Lombardo (Marchese).  Grandma Sophie had 2 sons (Joe and Nick) and 3 daughters (Sally, Theresa, and Katherine).  

Laura Lee became the central point of our family after Grandma passed.  She always encouraged the rest of the Aunts, Uncles, and cousins to stay in touch with one another no matter what diverse jobs or locations we were in.  She held our family's memories dear to her heart and always wanted the rest of us to appreciate and respect the family we came from.  Grandma is very proud of you Laura.

My daughter Michelle recently had the opportunity to get to know Laura through letters and Laura passed on some family memento's  to Michelle for safe keeping and posterity.    Below are some words from Michelle.

Laura lee, as I have discovered from writing to her, was truly a unique and loving individual.  I have enjoyed reading her letters and speaking to her through the phone.  I loved getting to know her and realizing how special she was.  I only wish I could have spoken to her more frequently.  Even in death, I still treasure her words, written and spoken, as well as the treasures she has entrusted me with.  I wish her the best in heaven and pray she is at peace.  I love you Laura Lee.
