Laura Smith

Laura Anne Smith (Wilembrecht) went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April, 5, 2017. Laura was born in Chicago, Illinois and at 15 moved to Phoenix. A few years later she met her future husband Stephen Smith. Laura and Stephen married in 1982 and recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. Laura is survived by her three children, Ryan Andrew, Philip Stephen and Kyle David. She is also survived by her parents, Harry and Alice Wilembrecht, and siblings, Linda Anzelone, Garry Wilembrecht, Clifford Wilembrecht, Mary Yacko and Donald Wilembrecht. Laura follows her other sister Janice Kosiak into Heaven. Laura was a sweet spirited woman, full of grace and love for others. She was active in her faith, always looking for ways to help others connect with one another. She had a servant’s heart and put her faith into action whenever the opportunity arose. We were blessed to have her be a part of our lives. Her positive influence on family, friends and sometimes complete strangers, will be remembered, and cherished, for as long as we live. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. A Memorial Service in Laura’s honor will be held 10:00am, Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Christ’s Church of the Valley, 7007 W. Happy Valley Road, Peoria, Arizona 85383.
