Tom and I are so   sorry to hear of Larry's passing.   He worked for us at Fireplace Furnishings for years.  He was so talented and could do anything.  He was always a gentlemen.  He was upstanding and outstanding in all he did.  A remarkable man.

Larry will sure be missed at the 40th Street Cafe. I am his "favorite" waitress, Tina. He had several friends that he would sit with. Susan, Betty and Shorty, Sally, Tom and Peggy and many more! He knew EVERYBODY. We all love him and miss him so much. The Cafe's employees are devastated by the loss. He was part of our family.  Larry was loved by so many people, myself included. He was like a father to me. Say HI to Sally up in heaven for us! We are so blessed to have known you, Larry!

I was in 2nd grade, “Riverview” 2 room grade school. Mrs Larson, 1st grade teacher opened the door, looked around and asked me where Lawrence was? I was dumbfounded! Awkward silence! Seemed like an eternity. Then she said Lawrence McCraw, your cousin! We only knew Junior as Junior. Many laughs on this.
Junior loved to fish and he was good at it. Many opening cold Trout seasons on Fisher Creek in Florence. Then a warm inviting welcome & supper by Aunti Dee and Uncle Lawrence.

So sorry to read of "Juniors" passing.   We were friends in high school.  He would call and ask if I wanted to come up to the gas station and pump eternal.   Spent many nights there, drinking orange crush with a bag of peanuts in it.  Last time we talked was he returned to Florence for his mother's funeral.

I was saddened to hear of Larry's passing. I've known Larry since the early 80's when we in the Air National Guard. Little did I know that I would become his " just around the corner" neighbor when I bought a home in 1982 on Robert E Lee. My wife, Amy, passed in 1983 and he and Sally became a source of comfort and companionship during those very dark days. After things settled down and Amy's children were parceled out to a relative's family, there were many nights that I dangled my feet under their kitchen table with beers despite Larry having to go to work the next day. A lot of days passed, and life moved on and I ended up being a full-time employee at the 161st and again shared the same office with Larry whom I nicknamed "McCrawski" after a character in "Airplane". He in turn nicknamed me Schwartzski. We shared a lot of good conversation and Pall Mall unfiltered cigarettes. After he retired, the office was just not the same comfortable place. We will all miss Larry. He was a patriot, a good friend and a good man. May God bless Larry and welcome him kindly and comfort his family.

Teresa and I are sadden and heart broken to hear that my uncle has passed. I’m going to miss the phone calls each month. He was always worried how my brother and I was making it after we lost our dad. Uncle Mack we are going to miss you and will always have in our hearts and memories. William & Teresa mccraw.

I am saddened to hear of your father‘s passing! A couple weeks ago I appreciated you calling me, chickie. I knew things sounded very challenging with your dad, but I still was surprised by the news of his death! Please know you are in our prayers!  I plan to have some Masses  offered for him. Growing up., Junior, Howard, and I had a lot of fun times together!!
