

Leo J. Cullen, 85, of Glendale, Arizona passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, at his home with his wife of 57 years, Claudia by his side. Leo was born July 23, 1940, in Anaconda, Montana to Daniel J. Cullen and Agnes M. Cullen. Leo married Claudia on November 10, 1968.
Leo enjoyed 26 years of retirement from Lucent Technologies where he worked for 34 years, progressing from telephone equipment installer to IT services. Leo enjoyed fly fishing, restoring and driving his 1940 Packard, woodworking, working in the yard, talking about irrigating, and traveling. Leo and Claudia spent several years touring the United States in their motorhome, often visiting his hometown of Anaconda, and other family members along the way. Leo loved his family very much and cherished the time he spent with them.
Leo is survived by his wife, Claudia; his sons, Dan (Angela) Cullen and Paul Cullen; grandchildren, Josh Cullen and Abby Cullen; sisters, Peggy Cullen and Betty (Bill) Towsend; brother-in-law, David Coleman; nieces Elizabeth (Geoff) Leggett, Kathleen (Nathan) Nakaoka, Courtney (Thomas) Rogerson, and Erin Moore; nephew, Christopher Coleman; and many great nieces and nephews. Leo was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie (Beth) Cullen.
Please join his family in a celebration of Leo’s life at a funeral mass on June 18th at 10:30 am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Glendale, Arizona. A luncheon will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation to some causes that were important to Leo, including the American Diabetes Association and the National Packard Museum.
