He was born on April 11, 1936 in Rocky Ford, Colorado. Leonard grew up in Rocky Ford before marrying Sara (Pacheco) in 1954. They then moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado for thirty-three years, raising their family. In 1987 they moved to Glendale, Arizona to enjoy their retired life. Leonard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He had a great sense of humor; he was a person that would laugh at his same joke every time he told it. He also had a great singing voice. He loved to sing.
Leonard is survived by his loving wife Sara, was a great father to Sandra, Leonard, Dean, Allen, and Lisa, Grandfather of 6 and Great Grandfather of 4.
