In Loving Memory of Leonides Oscar Perez Vasquez
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Leonides Oscar Perez Vasquez, who passed away on July 23, 2026, at the age of 48.
Some people are remembered for what they accomplished. Others are remembered for how deeply they loved. Oscar was, above all else, a family man. His family was the center of his world, the reason he worked so hard, and the greatest source of joy in his life. There was nothing more important to him than the people he loved, and he would have done absolutely anything for them.
He was a devoted husband to Dilma and a proud, loving father to Litzy and Lia. Whether cheering from the sidelines at his daughter’s games, sharing laughter at home, or simply spending time together, his greatest joy was being with his family. Every sacrifice he made and every long day he worked was for his family. When he wasn’t working, he wanted to be exactly where he was happiest—surrounded by those he loved most.
In addition to being an exceptional husband and father, Oscar was the pillar of his family. As the only man among his sisters, he embraced that role with love, strength, and an unwavering sense of responsibility. He was always there for them, ready to offer guidance, protection, and a helping hand whenever they needed him. To his wife, daughters, and sisters, Oscar was a source of comfort, security, and unconditional love. His presence brought peace, and his steadfast support held the family together through every season of life.
Cooking for his family was one of his greatest joys, whether it was a simple meal at home or food shared around a campfire during family camping trips. Those moments of laughter, conversation, and togetherness were the moments he cherished most. He also found joy in riding his motorcycle, a pastime that gave him a sense of freedom and peace. Whether he was out on the open road or spending time caring for it, riding was something he genuinely loved. Yet no matter where life took him, his favorite destination was always home with his family.
His love extended beyond people to the animals who were part of his family. He adored his loyal dog, Boo, and cherished his beloved birds, who brought him endless happiness. To him, they were never simply pets—they were family.
Oscar worked in construction and was known for his dedication, honesty, and tireless work ethic. He gave everything he had each day, always with the goal of providing a better life for those he loved. His strength was not measured by the work he did, but by the love, generosity, and unwavering support he gave to everyone around him.
His kindness, selflessness, and quiet strength touched countless lives. The love he poured into his family will continue to live on through the memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the example he set. While our hearts are broken by his sudden passing, we find comfort in knowing that we were deeply loved by an extraordinary husband, father, brother, son, and friend.
Today, he leaves behind a void that can never be filled. We have not only lost an extraordinary husband, father, brother, and son—we have lost the pillar who held our family together with his love, strength, and unwavering devotion.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dilma; his daughters, Litzy and Lia; his beloved sisters; and many other cherished family members and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Family and friends are invited to join us as we celebrate the life of a man whose greatest legacy is the love he gave to his family.
A life measured not by years, but by the love he gave. A husband, a father, a brother, a son and forever our family man.
