Passed from this world November 17th, 2020 in Phoenix, AZ
No amount of words in length or complexity can convey the depth of loss that those who knew Lexie feel. However, here are a few to speak towards a wonderful life of an even more incredible being.
Lexie came into this world on February 3rd, 1994. Born in Escondido, CA to Kim and Mike Biegalski, less than a year after her sister. Her two older sisters are Elizabeth (29) and Rachel Biegalski (27)- her biggest fans and best friends until the very end. When Lexie was three, she and her family moved to Naperville, IL, where she attended Prairie Elementary, Washington Junior High, and Naperville North High School. She then attended her beloved college, Northern Michigan University, in Marquette, MI. Lexie studied Communications, learned new things about others as well as her self, and was constantly inspired by the beauty of the Upper Peninsula and Lake Superior. She spent many happy summers there amongst friends and nature, exploring and soaking in the wonders and joys the world has to offer.
Lexie came home to Naperville after college, and then made the cross-country move to Phoenix with her parents in 2017. Lexie fell in love with the desert, a place very much like herself- warm, bright, and uniquely beautiful. Here she found love in Zhen Sweeny, and countless other special friends, often expressing awe of how lucky she was to find herself in such a magical landscape every day.
Lexie is survived by her parents Mike and Kim Biegalski, her sisters Elizabeth and Rachel Biegalski, her grandparents Louise and Greg Biegalski, and grandma Jackie Raycraft. Lexie is also survived by several uncles, aunts, and numerous cousins. It would be remiss to not mention her dogs as well, Ghost, Blaze, and Chewy, who miss her just as much as her humans do.
Once it is safe again for family and friends to gather, a memorial service will be held to celebrate the life and times of Lexie. Until then, in lieu of flowers, her family asks that you remember Lexie with a small donation to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), a well renowned mental health organization, or to simply take a moment to remember why Lexie made you smile, and how you can do so for others. For making others happy is what Lexie did best.
