Linda M. Easley

Linda Easley, a devoted Christian, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was called home by the Lord on September 20, 2026. Linda’s life was built upon two things above all else: her unwavering faith in God and her love for her family. She was a strong woman of faith who placed God first and dedicated her life to loving, leading, protecting, and providing for the people she held dear.

Born Erlinda Martinez on January 21, 1947, in Fresno County, California, Linda spent much of her childhood in Somerton, Arizona, before her family eventually moved to Yuma. She attended Kofa High School in Yuma, where she grew up surrounded by the community and family roots that remained important to her throughout her life. Linda eventually met the love of her life, Billy Lee Easley, while working for the U.S. Border Patrol. They were married on July 24, 1980, beginning a 44-year marriage filled with love, family, faith, and devotion. Together they welcomed their sons, Alan in 1984 and Daniel in 1986, and Linda found one of her greatest purposes in life through being a mother. Being a mother was not simply a role Linda carried, it was a calling she embraced with her whole heart. She was a fierce protector, a leader within her family, and someone who would do whatever was necessary to make sure the people she loved were cared for. Her family knew they could turn to Linda for strength, guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love.

Linda’s generosity extended far beyond her immediate family. She was the most generous person many who knew her had ever encountered. She gave freely of herself and her resources, regularly helping people who were struggling and providing financial support, encouragement, and a helping hand whenever she saw someone in need. She generously supported Christian fellowships and organizations supporting wounded warriors, giving because she believed that blessings were meant to be shared.

Her faith was not simply something Linda professed, it was something she lived. She placed God above all else and trusted Him to guide, protect, and sustain her throughout her life. Linda believed deeply in faith, hope, and love, with love being at the very heart of how she lived. As 1 Corinthians 13 reminds us, faith, hope, and love remain...and the greatest of these is love. Linda’s life was a testament to that love.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Lee Easley, her sister, and her parents. After 44 years of marriage, Linda has now been reunited with her beloved husband, Billy, and with the loved ones who went before her. She is resting peacefully in the presence of the Lord, while the family she loved so deeply carries her love, faith, and legacy forward.

She leaves behind her beloved sons, Alan Easley and Daniel Easley; her daughters-inlaw, Emily Easley and Reanna Easley; and her four grandchildren, Violet, Nova, Laina, and Joshua. She is also survived by her two stepsons, Jim Easley and Todd Easley, and their families. She also leaves behind many brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other loved ones whose lives she touched deeply and whom she loved with all her heart. Linda’s legacy is not only found in the people who knew her, but in the countless lives she helped, encouraged, protected, supported, and loved. She leaves behind a family who will carry forward the faith, strength, generosity, and love that defined her. And while those who loved Linda will deeply feel her absence, her faith reminds us that this is not the end of her story. She has gone home to the Lord she loved and faithfully served.

Linda’s earthly journey is complete. Her faith has become sight. Her

work is finished. Her family remains her legacy. And she is finally home with the Lord.
