Lola Glykeria Durand

Lola Glykeria Durand, 84 of Glendale, Arizona passed away on July 26, 2012. Lola’s life was a testimony to the Lord’s unconditional love of family and friends. She was a loving caregiver and a woman of strong faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. She was born in Piraeus, Greece and raised in Eritrea, Africa, where she met her husband Raymond and eventually came to reside in Arizona. In her last days, she was surrounded by the loving joy of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond Durand, mother Artemis Frangoulis, brother Andrea Stathopoulou and sister Effie Stathopoulou. She is survived by her children: Elizabeth (Durand) England, David Durand and his wife Shawn, and Julie (Durand) Stephens. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Olivia, Josh, Marcie, Timothy, Jonathon, Max Ryan, D.J., Sarah, Jessica, and Jennifer, as well as 8 great grandchildren; Cameron, Jack, Avery, Elijah, Jeremiah, Lexa, Ian, and Joshua. A viewing will be held at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ 85027 on Sunday, July 29th from 6 – 8pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, 7950 W. Pinnacle Peak Rd., Peoria, AZ 85383 on Monday, July 30th at 10 am. Burial will follow at Phoenix Memorial Park.
