It is hard to express what I feel about Lorna.  From the time I was born (she signed my cradle roll card for the nursery at church) through the teen years in Sunday School, and working with her in Food Share, to her doing our wedding in my late thirties, she was a rock you could depend on.  She set an example in the way she treated people, with respect and dignity. Her devotion to ministry often caused her to "do it all herself" but she loved serving others. She will be missed greatly! God has blessed her with a wonderful family that will carry on her legacy for years to come.

Lorna Gail will truly be missed.  She will be so welcomed into Heaven wearing many crowns.  She left many lovely family members to carry on the Love she had for people. What a sweet lady!

We will truly miss this lovely lady.  Me and my Family are blessed to call her grandma, WE love you and miss you Great Grandma.  Glen & Bobbi Magness and Kids.

Lorna Gail!  Finding words to describe her and her influence on all who attended Phoenix First Assembly of God is most difficult.  Since Jr. High Sunday School days she helped mentor and guide us all.  Truly one of God’s chosen ones.  She will be sorely missed.  Thanks Lorna.

What a legacy Lorna has givin' all of us.  So Many people would not be in church today if it was not for her.  She was there for me to get me in church in her very special way.   What laughter, and good fun we had in the Weddings, funerals  wm' meeting and just being a great mentor to all of us.  know she is our angel making sure we are safe.  Her name with live on forever in Phoenix First Assembly.

Thanks, Lorna, for a lifetime of love and encouragement......I have  hundreds of wonderful memories as I was blessed to be known as "your girl". I know that you and Mom are singing in the angel choir.

Lorna Gail was truly a mentor, encourager, & faithfully giving of herself in so many areas! She always did everything with excellence. I believe she has influenced many that only eternity will reveal.

In many ways there is hardly a person that more exemplifies Phoenix First Assembly than Lorna Gail. Larry, Heather, Holly and I had the privilege of being a part of Phoenix First for 15 years. During several of those years I had the privilege of leading worship for Women's Ministries led by Lorna. Lorna played a valuable role in so many faucets of the church. I will never forget her spirit, her enthusiasm, her boundless energy, her love for the Lord and for others. She has set a priceless example for me and countless others.

 Dick, When I think of Lorna the first words that come to mind are: strength, courageous, diligent, faithful, Godly, talented, and dependable.  We have known her since 1955.  She has been a pillar in the church and to all of us who have known her. I am sure the Lord has told her recently, “Well done, thy good and faithful servant.” I offer my deepest sympathy to you and your family.

When I was baptized as a young teen, Lorna Gail was there to assist me and to make sure that I understood exactly the reason for being baptized, what it stands for, and that I was not entering into it lightly.  She was a blessing to me that day, and for many days to come.  May the Lord bless and comfort those who loved Sister Gail.

What a great lady! I mention her often when I preach as one of those special influences in my life since I was 8 years old at 11th & Garfield church.  Never easy to lose a loved-one no matter what age or relationship. Only Heaven will reveal the impact Sis. Gail had on young people, on unwed mothers, on everyone who knew her. I will miss seeing her when I visit the Maranatha class at Phx 1st--she was a strong yet a lovely feminine lady who wore beautiful hats that characterized her loveliness. Dick, you had a wonderful mother, who was outstanding in everything she did and a friend to many.  I'm going to miss a very special friend, who I've had for over 60 years. But I know Lorna Gail is now in a more beautiful and heavenly place. She was my first SS teacher; then she was the Jr. High/High School SS superintendent and helped me in those difficult years. She encouraged me when I went to CBC. She taught me how to do wedding receptions. She was always cheerful and encouraging whenever I saw her.  She taught me the meaning of Matthew 6:33.  She was truly a wonderful Christian friend to me.

Heaven is now richer with Lorna there.  We cannot measure the blessings  this world has received by her life.  We looked for excuses to be near-by when Womens' Ministries meetings concluded at First Assembly on Third Street back in the 1970's...it meant great food and a welcome from Lorna.  Through the years, she meant so much to all the Church family, and her own Family.  We send our most sincere sympathy, love, respect and prayer to all.    Ken Bowers and Family
