Louis A. Wefers, Jr. 83, of Phoenix passed away October 2, 2015.He was born to Louis A. and Josephine M. (Paquette) Wefers on February 25, 1932 in Lawrence, MA. Lou graduated in 1954 from Catherine Laboure School of Nursing in Boston, MA. He served honorably in the Navy and was a Corpsman in Africa. Lou was an animal lover and world traveler. He is survived by his spouse and companion of 46 years Vernon; his brothers James F (Mary) Wefers of N. Andover, MA and Mark L Wefers of Hooksett, NH; her sisters Mary Lou Wefers of Salem, NH, Paula D Maurice) Sutton of Salem, NH, Nancy E (Gary) Russell of Londonderry, NH, and Faith Ann (Mark) Johnson of Salem, NH; his cousins Thomas Stocker of Boston, MA, Frances Slack Johnson of Augusta, GA, Leo “Lee” (Maryann) McCarthy of Derry, NH; his many nieces and nephews; as well as his dog Stretch.
