

Louise Jane (Kosiba) Turek, 83, of Sun City, AZ, passed away March 6, 2014. Lou Jane was born May 25, 1930 to the late Joseph and Arviena Kosiba in Genoa, NE. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, James Turek (1930-2002), and sisters Lorraine, Jeanette, Dorothy and Sylvia. She is survived by her children, Robert Turek, Therese Piamenta (Shimon), Lauri Turek, James Turek Jr.; grandchildren Shaun, Sara, Brianna, Brett; brother Stanley Kosiba and sister Annette Kosiba Brown.
Lou Jane was a graduate of Waterman, IL HS. She was a secretary and bookkeeper in DeKalb, IL before marrying James Charles Turek in 1956. They lived in Grayslake, Woodstock, Sycamore, Lisle, Sugar Grove, and St. Charles, IL before retiring to Phoenix, AZ. Jane was musical and loved to dance, play the guitar, organ, and accordion. She was a talented seamstress, cook, and baker. She donated many hours to the Catholic Church playing the organ and delivering baked goods especially at Christmas time (her favorite time of year). Jane was a member of the Church of St Joachim and St Anne in Sun City, AZ. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her and were touched by her caring ways, generous heart, and ever-active intellect.
