

Lucy was born to Michael and Maria Bria on October 4, 19322 in Turin, Italy. When Lucy was only 53 days old her family brought her to America. They sailed across the Atlantic aboard the Queen Mary. As immigrants they entered the United States through Ellis Island, eventually settling in Nevada.
In 1941 Lucy met her husband to be, John L. Dupont. John, better known as "Jack" joined the Air Force in World War II. While on leave he proposed to Lucy and they were married the very next day on July 4, 1943.
Lucy and Jack had two daughters; Jeannie and Nannette. In 1955 the family moved to Phoenix, Arizona where Lucy resided for the remainder of her life.
Lucy enjoyed cooking. sewing and decorating her house. She did volunteer work at Good Samaritan hospital for over 40 years.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Fremont and Rudy Bria and her husband Jack Dupont. She is survived by her sister Inez, Lituania of Reno, Nevada, her daughter Nannette Whiting (Gordon) of Payson, Arizona and her daughter Jeannie Dupont of Salt Lake City, Utah. Also surviving are Nannette's children Jacob Whiting (Danielle) of Newcastle, Australia, Shannon Rhoton (Shane) of Fairbanks, Alaska, Clinton Whiting (Kellie) of Flagstaff, Arizona and Jeannie's children Amanda Lo Curto (Gary) of San Diego,California and Lindsay Swenson (Steve) of Salt Lake City, Utah. Lucy leaves behind 13 lovely great grandchildren.
Lucy will remain in our hearts and our memories and will be sorely missed. We will never forget her radiant smile, her infectious laugh or her gregarious nature.
A memorial service will be held for Lucy a Sienna Assisted Living Facility on September 7, 2016 at 10:30 AM. Funeral service will be held in Reno, Nevada on September 10, 2016 at the Ross, Burke and Knobel Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate any remembrances be made to Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, Arizona
