Maisie Young

Maisie Soo Young, 85, of Glendale AZ passed away September 25, 2013. She was born in Birkenhead UK on August 19, 1928. Maisie Soo married Johnny Young on November 19, 1954. They were happily married 49 years before his passing on March 10, 2004. She retired in 1993 from First Interstate Bank after 25 years of service. She was a long time member of Desert Jade Women’s Club and Phoenix Sister Cities Committees and a founding member of Phoenix Chinese Week. She was an avid & active participant in the Asian Community and was loved by all who knew her. Mai is survived by her loving son, Danny Young (Barbara) of Phoenix; grandson Andrew Young (Megan), great grandsons Ben & Noah of Peoria; grandson Aaron (Calli Davis) of Phoenix. Sister Cherry Jones (Merseyside UK), brother Frank Soo (Kitty) (Cheltenham UK), sister Patricia Abear (Mililani HI), sister Carol Soo (Cheltenham UK), brother David Soo (Cheltenham UK). Predeceased by Alan Soo and Aileen Soo (UK). Mai was never happier than feeding a houseful of family & friends and will be greatly missed.
