Manuel Duran Cano, age 56, passed away on January 13, 2022 in Glendale, Arizona. He was born on March 6, 1965 in Phoenix, Arizona to parents Frank V. Cano and Maria “Jobo” Duran Cano. Manuel was a veteran who served in the Navy and in Desert Storm. He fell in love with his high school sweetheart who he married and was blessed with four beautiful children. He was a dedicated hard working person who was employed at Smitty’s/Fry’s Food store from 1982-2011 and City of Surprise from 2012-2022. Manny loved being a Tata to his 6 grandchildren who he would spend his free time with. Some of his favorite things to do included watching sports/football, landscaping, life coaching, grilling, listening to oldies/Mexican music, being with his “Creamy Caramel” and having “just one” with his friends and family. Manny is survived by his fiancé, Angie Raya, his children: Krystal Cano (Gilbert) Soza, DeeAna Cano (Hector) Armendariz, Michael (Sina) Cano, Justine Cano (Tre) Tate and Step Children: Alexia and Christopher Raya. Grandchildren: The “J”s: JJ, EJ, CJ Armendariz, Aspire “Chacha” Cano, Izaiah Tate, Khaleesi Rose Soza. Father, Frank Cano. Sister: Sylvia “Chevy” (Albert) Rodriguez. Brother: Francisco (Alba) Cano and many nieces and nephews as he treated like his own children. He is preceded in death by his Wife and mother of his children, Rosemary Cano, Son baby Manny Jr., Mother Maria “Jobo” Cano, Mother in law Cecilia Rubalcaba, Uncle Ernie Cano, Cousin Chrissy Cano and other extended family and friends. For those who knew Manny, they knew He enjoyed dancing and being the life of the party. He will be missed dearly by those closest to him. A visitation for Manuel will be held Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85012. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 4715 N. Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85012. A burial will occur Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Greenwood/Memory Lawn Mortuary & Cemetery, 2300 W Van Buren St, Phoenix, Arizona 85009.
