I used to walk by her home to go to Wilder Jr. High. I loved her family!  Great memories....Picked her up and we walked together. Many happy days....Phyllis Stubbs Wolfe 

Margaret was my first music teacher at Encanto elementary school in Phoenix. The fact is, Margaret gave me my first title role. I played Peter Pan in one of her musicals!  Because of her influence on me, I have enjoyed a 35+ year career in music doing the most imposing opera roles in my repertoire all over the world.
Margaret and I became reacquainted when she visited me in Santa Fe New Mexico in the early 2000s. And when I came to Phoenix to do “the Flying Dutchman”with the Arizona opera, she met me at the airport and took me to Woody’s McCayo… My idea!
She was also instrumental in reacquainting me with my favorite third grade homeroom teacher, Victoria Budinger.. 
Last time I was in Phoenix for Das Rheingold, I’m afraid she was a much better friend to me than I was to her. She kept asking me out for lunch, and I just couldn’t  do it and I am now regretting that decision more than you can possibly know.
I think of Margaret often and miss her often.

Margaret. One of my most enduring friendships. I met Margaret through my children when she was a kindergarten teacher. I volunteered in her classroom. We bonded and became fast friends. She was a great support to me while the kids were small and Jack was at the hospital so much of the time. Over the years, she joined our family for Thanksgiving holidays and summer trips. We took golf lessons - good for lots of laughs. We also discovered a mutual love of opera, and attended many performances together in both Phoenix and Salt Lake. Even if we’re apart, I’ll always be with you. Sending love to Melodie. May you find comfort in knowing that your sweet mom is at peace. 

Many wonderful memories from Wilder School (late elementary through 9th grade) and PHS (Piqua High School), the Piqua Public Library  (yes! listening to hours and hours of classical music), the Cincinnati Zoo Opera (brain washing by my Dad....it worked!) vacations, Puerto Rico etc etc etc! More like a sister!!   



I have known Margaret for all the years (22) we have lived in our condo association in Phoenix, AZ.  Margaret was a beautiful soul....inside and out.  A few years' back, we would visit often at poolside.  A year or so ago, us gals in the "hood" had an evening out playing "goofy"(miniature) golf; it was such a fun time!  And of course visiting at local parties within our complex over the years.  Margaret was quite the conversationalist!  We all enjoyed Margaret, and she will be missed within our association.    My deepest sympathies to Melody and family/friends.  It was a blessing to have known Margaret.  We all share in your loss.

I Meet Margaret when my family moved to Piqua, Ohio the summer before my Freshmen year in high school.  We moved into a house just 4 or 5 doors down from her and her family.  I did not know anybody and we became friends quite quickly.  She was a dear friend and we had many fun times together. I lost touch with her after we graduated and my parents moved to a different part of Piqua.  I am so sorry that I did not know that she lived in Phoenix, AZ as I have lived in Arizona since 1979.  I know that she is at peace and that the Good Lord is watching over her.

I lived on Main St. and she lived on Broadway, so I would stop at
her home and pick her up.  I know her Mom and Dad fed me 
breakfast many days!  She was a wonderful person and I will miss her at our  gatherings.  (I know we missed her last year at our Birthday Party for the class.)  

Margaret was a life long friend from school  and church in Piqua, Oh.  I will cherish the wonderful times we shared.  My sincere condolence to her daughter Melody ,  her brother Don Kriegbaum,  and extended family and friends. Beverly

Margaret and I were classmates in Piqua, Ohio High School. We were both active in the music programs. My condolences to her family.
