Maria Luisa Berrelleza was born in Villanueva, Zacatecas on June 23, 1954. She immigrated to the U.S. as a young lady with dreams of a better life.
Devout in her faith Maria and her husband, Theodore V. Berrelleza, raised their children with love and dedication to ensure they were brought up in the Lord. As a loving Mother and Wife, she enjoyed the simplest pleasures in life and creating memories with her family. Maria loved cooking, reading, camping, going to the beach, and caring for others. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Theordore V. Berrelleza; brother Manuel Grano; sister, Domitila Perez; five children, Steve Ortiz (Laura), Jeannie Carreras (Vicente), David Berrelleza (Rosalinda), Robert Berrelleza, and Diane Lujan (Matthew), 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will occur Friday, August 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 909 E Washington St, Phoenix, AZ 85034. A committal service will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N 48th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008.
