Maria Teresa Castellano
September 28, 1926 – June 27, 2018
Maria Teresa Castellano was born September 28th, 1926 (Gusave) Sinaloa, Mexico and died in her home surrounded by her family on June 27th, 2018. Her loving husband Angel Castellano preceded her in death on December 24th, 2005.
Teresa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and faithful friend. She lived her life serving the Lord, filling the stomachs of anyone who walked in her home and providing a place to live for those in need. Her kind eyes and smile warmed every room she stepped in. Her family always slept well knowing that they were in her prayers. She enjoyed tending to her flowers, cooking and taking care of her grandchildren. She and her husband Angel Castellano, were devoted Catholics and members of the St. Matthews Parish for 60 yrs. She lived a simple life, one without judgment of others or materialistic needs. Her family meant the world to her and she meant the world to her family. In her last years her ability to recall memories weakened but her memories will be forever cherished and shared throughout our family tree for generations to come. She will be forever missed and eternally joined with our Lord and the love of her life Angel Castellano.
The Family would like to express our sincere gratitude to Yolanda Acedo for all of the love, compassion and great care she provided for Teresa during her weakest times. We are forever grateful and consider ourselves blessed to call you family forevermore.

I knew the Castellano's when we lived in Phoenix on 35th and Encanto when my father was manager of Farmer John meats back in 65,66. I went to school with Angel and Laura. Delores was our baby sitter and she took no guff. I have nothing but good memories . I have had the pleasure of seeing Maria Teresa just before she sold the house on Encanto . She remembered me from way back and told me Angel was working at Shop, and Dolores was living in Tucson and the rest of the kids were doing well. I am glad I got to see her when I did. I am sorry for your loss and I wish you guys all of Gods peace and blessing Patrick Mc Goldrick

What a beautiful time of memories it was these last few months before Our Beloved Teresa passed into her reward for all the Love and Kindness she showed to us. To see and hear family and friends coming to visit and share their memories and to bless us with their presence and prayers.
Many thanks to all who helped in her beautiful service that will remain a blessing to all who remembered Teresa and Angel as they wait to greet us in Heaven.
Now it's up to us to follow their good example of God's Love !

I was fortunate to live with Teresa and my uncle, Angel in 1962 while I attended Cosmetology School. Those were wonderful months living in a home full of love, their children as well as other extended family. Theresa and my uncle were always there for me since I had never been away from home. I always felt comfortable and welcomed. Theresa was a beautiful lady, loving and her faith in the Catholic religion was extraordinary. My condolences to the family with my thoughts and prayers. Sara

Dear Tios Angel & Teresa,
You both loved and cared for my mother and you provided her a home on so many occasions. Also, you provided shelter for her children and for that, you will always be remembered forever and ever.
Tia Teresa, as I was a child you taught me my prayers, how to have faith in God and the importance of kneeling before God.
The two songs that I will always remember you by are "De Colores" and "Celito Lindo". Those songs have carried me through my very painful and difficult times.
As child and as an adult, you were there for me during my dilemmas. You were my rock when my heart ached for my son and for learning how to cope with my mother's illnesses.
We shared thoughtful conversations while in and around your garden and thank you for sharing your plants with me, because I now have your physical presence surrounding my home.
Thank you God for giving me my Tia Teresa for 62 years of my life, I will cherish her memories forever.

I was one of the lucky ones whom got to live with Teresa and my uncle. She never judged me, she loved me no matter what. She'd let me come "shopping " when I had no food. She made me 😀 come to Phoenix to participate in a Cursillo the best thing to have ever happened for me. I will miss her. May you rest in peace Tia con todo mi amor. Gisela
