Maria Consuelo Hernandez

Maria Consuelo "Connie, Chulis" Hernandez of Calexico, California passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 at the age of 78 years old. Chulis was born on August 19, 1945 in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico to Martin and Juanita (Sanchez) Lara. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2018 to be with family. She was funny and loved to laugh. She loved to play bingo, go to the casino, listen to music/dance and tend to her plants. Above all she was the most beautiful, spunky and forever loving wife to her husband.

Maria is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Jose Luis Hernandez; her children and their respective spouses Luis Angel and Patty Hernandez, Gabriel and Lorena Hernandez, Elsa and Mario Robles, and Cristina and Aaron Hernandez-Solenski; as well as her 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

A Visitation for Maria will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ 85027. The Graveside Service will follow at 12:00 pm also at Phoenix Memorial Park.
