Marie is survived by her three daughters: Karen A. Floyd and Pamela K. Floyd of Glendale, AZ; and Marcia R. Floyd of Forest Hills, Maryland.
Marie was born on September 29, 1921 in Hayes Center, Nebraska to parents Henry and Annie Schlake. She married Harold R. Floyd and the couple had five children together, including a son, who died in infancy.
She enjoyed making greeting cards, reading, and playing with the family’s dogs - QT, Tippy, Jay, and Minnie - and cat CC. Her family and friends will always remember her as a thoughtful, loving, happy and creative person.
A graveside service will scheduled for a later date at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley, Colorado. Donations can be sent to American Cancer Society or a local Humane Society.
