Early in life, Marie met the love of her life, Dennis. They shared more than 65 years of marriage together until his passing. Their life together was built around family, love, and the many memories they created throughout the years. Together, they raised two sons, Dennis, who is married to Tracy, and Steve, who were a source of great pride and love in Marie’s life.
Marie dedicated more than 30 years of her life to teaching, working with children in first through eighth grades. Teaching was more than a career for Marie; it was something she truly loved. Her years in the classroom allowed her to share her warmth, humor, and personality with generations of young students.
When Marie wasn't teaching, she could often be found doing what she loved most: tending to her garden, caring for her plants, and keeping her yard beautifully maintained. She took great pride in her home and surroundings. She also held a special place in her heart for her son's dog, Frankie. Even near the end of her life, Marie was still looking for Frankie, a touching reminder of the love she had for the little things that brought her happiness.
Above all, Marie was a family woman. She loved the holidays, having her boys around, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was funny, fun-loving, and full of personality. People were naturally drawn to her, and those who knew her loved being in her company. Marie had a way of making time together enjoyable, leaving her family and friends with countless memories to cherish.
Marie leaves behind her two sons, Dennis and his wife, Tracy, and Steve; her two grandchildren, Drew and Shantel; her brother, David, his 2 sons Mathew and Jason. She also leaves behind her best friend Jim who she considered family, he helped Marie out around the house for anything she needed after her husband passed, he checked up on here daily and was there for her for anything she needed help with until the very end.
Marie will be reunited with her beloved husband, Dennis, as she is laid to rest beside him at Haven Park Cemetery in a private burial service.
She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her love of teaching, her beautiful garden, her wonderful sense of humor, and the joy she brought to those fortunate enough to know her. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
