She accepted Christ as a child at Lake Arrowhead Conference Center in New York and attended church faithfully all her life. Marilyn’s greatest heart’s desire was that her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren serve and honor the Lord in their lives. She served as a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church for over 30 years as Sunday school secretary, children’s choir director, choir member, soloist, deacon’s wife, and coordinator of many church events. She showed great hospitality, hosting missionaries, evangelists, family, and friends in her home. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Wallace B. Illsley. children Donald L. Illsley, Duane L. Illsley (and wife Ellen), and Debra L. Cox (and husband Dean), four grandchildren Jennifer Illsley, Johnathan Illsley (and wife Erica), Melissa Cox Beets, and Paul D. Cox (and wife Jenny), by eight great-grandchildren, Andrew, Eric (EJ), Aurora, Elise, Everly, and Alexis Illsley, and Lily and Piper Cox, and by her brother R. Duane Eckinger of Missouri.
Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice , holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Marilyn Joyce Illsley
September 18, 2020
Marilyn was a lovely lady. I am so thankful that my niece was able to join the Illsley family and be a part of a wonderful multi generational Christian family. It was a joy to get to be around her and Wally when Johnathan and Erica graduated from Bible college, and when Johnathan was ordained to the ministry. My prayers go out to the family at this time of loss...But I know that the Lord will give you comfort in the time of need in the days and months ahead.
Much love from Aunt Red.
