Mario Enrique Rodriguez

December 5, 1944February 20, 2021

Mario Enrique Rodriguez's life's journey ended at 7:00 p.m. on February 20, 2021. Mario temporarily leaves behind his wife, Guadalupe Rodriguez, his 10 children, 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 9 siblings. Mario was born in Magdalena, Sonora on December 4, 1944 to Carlota and Enrique Rodriguez. He lived most of his childhood in Cd. Obregon, Sonora where he met his lifelong sweetheart "Lupita" whom he wed 54 years ago. Mario was a builder. He could build anything; no project was too big for him. He transformed his home as his family grew. Every home that his children lived in has a piece of his love in it. Mario was also a talented gardener who loved to take care of his front yard and the many plants in it. However, Mario's true love was his family. He spent every Sunday cooking, teasing his wife and laughing with his children, grandchildren and great - grandchildren. His favorite pastime was pushing the little ones on the swing or in the hot summer filling up the kiddie pool so they could splash around. His loved ones will remember Mario as a hard-working, honest and loving man.

Sending my condolences and love to the Rodriguez family. I have had the honor of meeting him in person, but to me most importantly getting to know him through Sylvia’s stories about him! He loved his family and loved his grand and great babies so much. He was a very loving, gentle, generous and strong family man. I know he will be greatly missed.
