Marjorie May Curran passed away on February 8, 2011 at the age of 88. Marjorie was born May 15, 1922 in Worcester, Massachusetts. She and Geoffrey Curran were married on January 21,1948. They had two sons, Michael and Mark. She spent her life as a devoted wife and wonderful mother. She also dedicated herself to numerous charitable activities, most involving underprivileged or disadvantaged children. Returning to Phoenix in 1978 she spent the last 32 years actively involved with the Assistance League of Phoenix. She was a part of the founding group and the Chairman from 1988 to 1990 of Operation School Bell, which remains today one of the primary programs of the Assistance League. Marjorie is survived by her husband, Geoffrey; her two sons, Michael and Mark; her step daughter, Sandy; her grandchildren, Geoffrey, Christopher, Sarah, Deborah, Brandon, Kelly and Jamie; and her nine great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Life Center at the Beatitudes, 1650 W. Glendale, Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11AM.
