Marjorie Ann Reeves was born in 1927, on the Old Columbus Road, near Columbus, Ohio. She had eight brothers and sisters, with Marjorie as the next to the youngest. Marjorie’s husband, Dr. Ernest Reeves and her youngest son, Dr. Ernest C. Reeves III (Tres), predeceased her. She is survived by her son,
Mark Wayne Reeves, and many cousins, nephews, nieces, grandnieces, grandnephews and other kinship relationships who live in Arizona, Ohio, Florida and other states across the United States.
Marjorie grew up on a farm of which she spoke fondly. She spent time in Japan with her husband Ernest, who was a Navy dentist for several years. She was active in various civic organizations throughout the years, and was dedicated to making her family’s life a very good one. Marjorie was always positive, organized, creative and resourceful. She worked as an Office Manager in Ernest’s dental office for approximately 20 years, cumulatively. Her enthusiasm for life was contagious. She appreciated life and all its wonderful possibilities. Marjorie said, if you can dream it, you can do it!
Marjorie was the driving force and responsible for the success of Ernest, Tres and Mark. She was the ultimate optimist. When one of us wondered if we could accomplish our endeavor, directly behind us was Marjorie who always lent support, advice and encouragement. She believed in her family, and her family steadfastly believed in her.
Marjorie enjoyed traveling, reading, movies, theater and sports. At one time, she played golf on a regular basis, and as a girl was active in all kinds of sports. She also enjoyed swimming and dancing.
As a result of her travel, she learned more about people and gained insight into human nature.
It can be safely said, that every person who met Marjorie was better for it. She was genuinely interested in persons, and loved life. She will be sorely missed, never forgotten, and deeply loved.

MARJORIE ANN’S PATH
MOTHER, THE TIFFANY LIGHT YOU GAVE ME FOR CHRISTMAS STILL SHINES
LIKE YOUR SMILE IN THE SUNSHINE. YOUR INFECTIOUS LAUGH STILL RINGS
STRONG AND TRUE LIKE A HARBORMASTER’S BELL CUTTING THROUGH THE FOG.
YOU WERE SMART, KIND, INTERESTING AND FIESTY THAT IS ALL TRUE. A MORE
SELFLESS PERSON THERE WILL NEVER BE, A TRUE LEADER WHOSE SUCCESSES
ARE DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF YOU, AS YOU SEE: HUSBAND AND SONS.
MOTHER, YOUR ADVICE AND LEADERSHIP ALWAYS CAME THROUGH
AS WE ALL SIMPLY WERE IN AWE OF YOU.
THAT LITTLE GIRL IN YOU IS NOW WALKING THAT FOOT PATH IN HEAVEN
AS THE ROSES AND AZALEAS DANCE ALL AROUND YOU. FOR MANY TIMES I
TOLD YOU THAT YOU HAD THAT CHILD-LIKE ESSENCE ABOUT YOU. SOME HOW I
SEE YOU HOLDING COURT GIVING SAGE ADVISE TO ALL THE WINGED ANGELS
ENCIRCLING YOU.
MARJORIE, THE SUN BEGINS TO SET, THE COOL AIR ON YOUR FACE, AS YOU
BEGIN TO SHIVER. YOU LOOK FOR YOUR GOLDEN PURSE IN THE CHAIR BUT
CANNOT REACH IT FROM THERE. THAT CERTAIN JUNE DAY IS ALMOST OVER BUT
YOU, MY DEAREST MOTHER, WILL CONTINUE FOREVER AND EVER. MY FAITH
TELLS ME THAT I WILL CERTAINLY SEE YOU AGAIN.
MARJORIE, YOU WILL BE MISSED, MARJORIE, YOU WILL ALWAYS REMAIN IN OUR
HEARTS, MARJORIE, YOU WILL ALWAYS BE LOVED.
