Im Gionni and this is my great uncle, I loved going to his house and going in the pool. He was kindhearted to me and my sister Knoelle, we miss him so much and me, this is my last message to him : (

I think about you lots Buddy. Can't believe it's been 3 years.

Seeing him smiling happily in the web page photo wearing the golf shirt I gave him for his birthday brought tears to my eyes. We have known each other for almost 20 years and he was the most amazing man, always full of energy and never succumbed to any difficulties. Our last trip, We went to Sedona AZ, he fearlessly hung the snake around his neck. He was a man who never feared anything in his life.

Mark was also a person who loved life, worked supper hard, loved his friends and family. I always told him that he had a sharp tongue with soft heart. when we were together. Lots of happy moments, many times of arguments, occasional quarrels, encourage each other and heart-to-heart conversations. Mark was my partner, best friend, lover, and he was a very special part of my life.

I loved him very much, but God loved him even more. The sun has set in this part of my life, but Mark will remain in my memory. So, for that reason, I won't say goodbye now. He just retired early to be with God, let's say good night!


My best friend of 38 years. I’m still in disbelief that he’s just “gone”. It seemed to happen so fast. I tried to get to the hospital from out of the country and was scheduled to be there the day after Thanksgiving when I received the devastating text from Myles at 2 AM that day, 6 hours before I planned to drive from Las Vegas to Scottsdale. 
The realization of his passing seems to set in at different times. I’ll never again be able to pick up the phone and talk to him. We probably talked once or twice a week for decades. I find myself going about my day and will suddenly think that we’ll never play golf again, we’ll never talk again, we’ll never do anything together again.
We were both in each other’s weddings, we kept up to speed on our kids growing up (he was so proud of Myles and Austin), we traveled together, we did business together, rode our Harley’s together, and leaned on each other for advice or just to vent about a range of topics and issues.
I had tremendous respect for Mark being a successful self-made real estate investor. Mark taught himself the real estate business and was focused on his business until his last day. He was very “hands-on”. Up until days before he passed, he was still hauling refrigerators, working on his hands and knees, turning vacant units, etc. He got up to work every day. I told him many times to cash out and enjoy the fruits of his labor. He said “What would I do? I can’t sit around.” He knew he wasn’t going to spend the money. He often mentioned he was going to make sure Myles and Austin were set for life. I admire that so very much.
I’ll miss you Buddy. My best friend, my golf partner, my confidante. You checked out way too soon. We still had a lot of life to live. This picture of us will be on my desk forever.

My husband Kenny grew up with the Brenner boys whom he spent a lot of time with over the years. I had the pleasure of meeting Mark in 1975 when he and Kenny played soccer together at West Seattle High School. Even though we did not see much of each other in the past few years we did have the pleasure of having dinner at his home in Scottsdale in April of 2020.  We had a wonderful visit with him as we shared stories about the past and our families and he seemed very happy as he talked to us about his sons Myles and Austin who he was very proud of. Our hearts go out to Mark's entire family as we know he will be truly missed. 




Mark was my West Seattle High School locker partner. 
He was a good, loyal friend to me. Although we remained friends we did not keep in touch after our mid twenties.
I had the pleasure of having lunch with Mark and his son Austin about three years ago.
Mark was doing well and it was great to see him.
Sad to think that would be the last time I would see him. 
My condolences to the family.  

Only knew Mark for a brief time, but I will certainly miss him. Such an outgoing, very likeable guy. His family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Hearing of Mark's passing was such a shock to my husband and I! We knew Mark in Seattle and only recently learned of him living in Fountain Hills which is ten minutes away from our current home.  My husband and Mark were business partners in an apartment building in Seattle. I worked with Dru (Austin's mother) at the Seattle Times and introduced the two of them. While the relationship didn't last, the greatest gift was Austin! 

Bill and I also knew Robin Croteau and Myles and had a relationship with Myles' grandfather Ray, who lived in Palm Springs. 

This is all such devastating news for all who knew him. Our love, prayers, and heartfelt condolences go to his extended family in Arizona as well.
