Mark Anthony Villa

Mark was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was a professional jockey for 29 years. His journey as a jockey took him through AZ, CA, CO, KY, NM, and TX. He met the love of his life, Krystal, in 1996 and they were married May 11, 1999. They moved to New Mexico and made it their home. In 2004 their twins, Olivia and Garrett, were born and Mark was forever changed. His career in New Mexico was of great success. He had multiple stake wins and was honored to ride the All American Futurity three times. Some of his greatest victories were winning the All American Derby in 1999 and the Zia Futurity in 2007 and 2009. He loved racing but family was always first. His loving smile and devotion to his family and friends will forever be missed. He is survived by his loving wife Krystal and adored children Olivia and Garrett. His Parents Roy and Connie Villa, Brother Louie Villa, Sister Elanor Villa, and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Services will be held October 6th at the Deer Valley Stake Center with a viewing from 9:00am - 12:30pm and services at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Phoenix Memorial Park .
