Marlene N. Estock was born on Friday, the 3rd of April 1936 in Douglas Arizona to Andrew and Enriqueta Estock. Marlene passed peacefully on Sunday, the 23rd of February 2020 at the age of 82 at her home in Phoenix, Arizona surrounded by family. Marlene was raised in Douglas Arizona and attended Loretto Catholic Grade School and graduated from Douglas High School. Marlene worked at the Phelps Dodge Mercantile as a retail sales associate until 1978. Marlene married and moved to Phoenix in 1978 and worked as a sales associate for J.C.Penney at the Westridge Mall until she retired in 2008. Marlene spent her retirement years traveling the world with family and friends and enjoyed spending time with neighbors.
Marlene leaves behind her sister Lucy Acedo, brother-in-law Louie Acedo; her nephews Joey (Lisa) and Henry (Jacque); niece, Cindy (Ron). Also, her great-nephews Henry, Jacob, and Vincent.
A Memorial/Celebration of Life event will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park, 719 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona, 85009 on Friday, the 6th of March 2020 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM in the Hospitality Room located at the Mortuary and Chapel. A second memorial will be held in Douglas Arizona on Saturday, the 14th of March 2020 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 1211 East 15th St, Douglas, AZ 85607 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
