

On Wednesday, February 10, Marshall Eugene Bonds, 87, passed away leaving a surviving family including his wife, Edith, five children, two step-children, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Marshall was born in DeQueen, Arkansas on May 31, 1928 and worked diligently to improve his life along with that of his family. In doing so, he worked in a variety of vocations ultimately founding Bonds Burglar Alarm which he developed into a very successful and well known enterprise. He enjoyed working with his church which included playing the trumpet, singing in the choir, volunteering with Youth for Christ and flying his airplane for Wings for Christ. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling with Edith, his devoted wife of 25 years, and spending time with family both at home and on the road. Marshall was a loving father and husband, a Jesus follower, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, pilot, musician, singer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, adventurer and world traveler. Now, he has traveled to his Heavenly home. For many years, Marshall has been a member of North Phoenix Baptist Church where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel. His exuberant spirit and positive influence will be greatly missed. His name is carved on many hearts. “His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'” Matthew 25:21
