

Martha Ann Booker, age 79, of Phoenix, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born on January 29, 1939 to the late Ed and Bea (Brown) Collins in Cleveland, TN. She attended Bradley High School graduating class of 1958; then furthered her education at Austin Peay State University obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Martha was a Registered Nurse until her retirement. She was selected as a Director of Nursing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to set up a new hospital for the prince. During her time in Saudi Arabia she met her future husband John Booker. After her nursing career she became a hostess at Timeron Campgrounds in northern New Mexico. On July 17, 1983 she married John in Cleveland, TN. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading, and art. Martha is survived by her three loving children, Valarie Vousden, Paul Collins, and David Richardson; a sister, Lois Morrow; and her granddaughter, Samantha Vousden. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Booker. No services are planned at this time.
