

Martha (Marti) Irene Krebs of Phoenix, Arizona, passed from this life on Monday July 24, 2023 at the age of 79 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was born January 26, 1944, in Flushing Meadows, NY, but spent most of her childhood in Akron, OH.
She moved with her family to Phoenix in 1957 and attended Camelback High School and Arizona State University where she received a Bachelor of Education degree in 1966. She also earned advanced degrees from both ASU and Virginia Commonwealth University.
Throughout her life Martha was an elementary school teacher in California and Florida, a social worker in Alaska and Virginia, and a Red Cross Volunteer Coordinator in Germany and a military spouse. More recently she served as a medical researcher, an active advocate for animal and environmental causes and a community volunteer.
Martha was preceded in death by her father, John B. Vojtko (2003), her mother Irene A. Vojtko (2017) and brother John E. Vojtko (2018). She is survived by her husband of 52 years Kenneth Krebs of Phoenix, AZ and brothers Thomas Vojtko of Phoenix and James Vojtko of Fergus Falls, MN. Martha's family would like to thank the staffs of the Beatitudes Campus, Hospice of the Valley and Valley of the Sun Homecare for the loving care she received during the final months of her life. Martha will be laid to rest at Phoenix Memorial Park on Beardsley Road in Phoenix in mid August at a small family gathering.
