Martin Raymond Lara, 79, a soul woven from love, learning, and faith, has gone to his eternal home. Beloved husband, father, grandpa, professor, poet, veteran and gentle soul, his life vibrated with passion, curiosity, and kindness. He never stopped learning, accumulating degrees like trophies, each one a testament to his insatiable curiosity. He touched countless lives as a college professor and instilled in his grandchildren the priceless lessons of kindness and compassion. Beneath his sharp mind, a poet’s soul danced, weaving emotion into words that touched all who encountered them. Martin's legacy thrives in the hearts he touched, a warm ember reminding us to embrace life with the same passion, curiosity, and love that he did. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Lara, his children, Daniel (and his wife Genifer) and Rebecca (and her husband Vincent), and his grandchildren, Chloe and Joanna. Rest in peace, Martin. We miss you dearly.
