Martin Albert Pischke, Jr passed away quietly at the age of 93 on Saturday, July 2, 2016 with his family at his side. Born August 23, 1922 in Franklin Park, Illinois to Martin, Sr and Rose (Schmidt) Pischke, he was the eldest of 12 children, 6 of whom predeceased him. A strong and loving father and husband for 66+ years, of Rose L Pischke, who predeceased him in 2014, he was also predeceased by his son Dale (Antonia). He is survived by his son Keith (Andrea), grandchildren Jennifer Fasula (Gary) and David (Brandi) and great grandchildren Quinton, Levi, Elliot and Lilly. He is also survived by siblings Norbert, Robert, Rose Marie (Bigden), Arthur and Audrey (Kwiatkowski). Martin was a WWII Veteran and achieved the rank of Tech Sergeant on the Army’s Seventh Signal Radio Maintenance Team. He received American Theater and Asiatic-Pacific Theater Service Medals for his service in the US and the Philippines. After his Honorable Discharge from the Army in 1946, Martin met and married his wife Rose and worked as an Electrical Engineer for Illinois Bell and AT&T Telephone Companies in Chicago, Illinois. He was a Scout Master and Stephen Minister and was an active member of, and volunteer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Des Plaines, Illinois where he lived for 60+ years before moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 2012.
