Mary grew up in Lubbock, where she attended school and built the strong family values and faith that would guide her throughout her life.
Mary was the loving mother of four children: Damon, Cynthia, Ronald, and Valerie. She later moved to Glendale, Arizona, to be closer to her beloved sister, Lupe Aragon Bolanos.
Nothing meant more to Mary than her family. She treasured every opportunity to gather with those she loved, especially during Christmas and Thanksgiving. Those holidays brought her great joy, and she delighted in creating memories with her children, family, and friends.
Mary's greatest passion was her faith in Jesus Christ. She had a compassionate heart for those who were hurting, faithfully prayed for others, and found comfort and inspiration in sharing her love of God. She also enjoyed dressing up and never missed watching her favorite television ministry, Jimmy Swaggart.
Mary was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Benito Aragon and Lucy Sotelo; her son, Damon; and her daughter, Cynthia; and her brother Leo & her sister Odie.
She is survived by her son, Ronald, and her daughter, Valerie. She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters: Philip, Esther, Archie, Angie, and her youngest sister, Lupe Aragon Bolanos; her grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Services for Mary have not yet been scheduled. She will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Memorial Park in San Jose, California, near her home. TBD.
Mary will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her loving heart, and the deep devotion she had for her family. Her kindness, prayers, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
