Mary was a fiercely independent, adventurous, loving and kind person.  She loved life, was proud of her children and adored her family.  I thank God for letting us meet all those years ago; for her great wisdom, laughter,  understanding how I felt and our willingness to agree to disagree when it came to politics.  Mary, I’m so thankful for the countless conversations we had as best friends.  I will always remember you with so much love and affection my dearest Mary.

Mom loved her great grandchildren, Jacey and Maddox!  Her memory will live on with them from the stories and lil gifts she gave them.  

This one might seem silly, but it’s one of my favorites. When I was a little girl we were at her house for breakfast, and she asked me if I wanted some “special toast”! I remember being VERY excited to see what “special toast” was, because she was an excellent cook....low and behold she introduced me to cinnamon sugar toast!! If you know me(and my sweet tooth) you know that this “special toast” made my day and changed the game for just regular old toast!! I remember going to school and telling everyone about it, and to this day every time I have a piece of “special toast” , I think of her. You will be missed Grandma Mary. 

Mom was a strong force in the world. She had a childlike sense of adventure and spent her life having fun. She went bear hunting, fishing in Alaska. diamond mining in Arkansas, on countless fishing trips, treasure hunting at thrift stores, loved creating unique oil paintings and had fun gold panning.  She loved her siblings, her children, grandchildren,great grandchild nieces and nephews and  friends and furbabies. I can honestly say there will never be another person like her. She will be sadly missed.
