Mary Jane Fischer

Mary Jane Fischer, age 72, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at her residence in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born on April 2, 1946 to the late Albert and Marie (Taylor) Monson in Libertyville, Illinois. After graduating high school Mary went on to obtain her Registered Nursing degree in Chicago, Illinois. On September 30, 1978 she married Donald Joseph Fischer in Chicago. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and was proud to be the School Nurse for Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church for numerous years. She enjoyed reading, knitting, and being with her grandchildren every day. Mary is survived by her loving spouse of 40 years, Donald; three children, Timothy (Melinda) Fischer, Kathleen Fischer, and William Fischer; two grandchildren, Paige and Joseph Fischer; and many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Werner in 1993; and son, Mark Fischer in 2002. Visitation will be from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Road, Phoenix, AZ 85022 with the Funeral service to follow at 6:30 pm. Committal services will be privately held.
