Mary was born on June 8, 1952 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Gerald and Marilyn Long.
After graduating from Rosary High in Aurora, Illinois in 1970, Mary eventually relocated to Arizona in 1983, where she has remained ever since. She was proud to graduate from ASU in 1994.
She spent most of her adult life as a Home School Teacher. She will be missed by all her family, friends, colleagues, and students.
Mary is survived by her husband Ralph, daughter Michelle, son Christopher, and her granddaughter, Keira.
The family would like to thank the staff of Banner Hospital and Hospice of the Valley for the care and compassion they showed her in her final days.
A visitation for Mary will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ 85027. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Our Lady of the Valley Church, 3220 W Greenway Road, Phoenix, AZ 85053.
