

Mary Louise Pelliccio, originally of Long Island, New York passed away on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 78. Mary Lou was born on August 24, 1945 in Garden City, Kansas, the daughter of World War II and Korean War Veteran George McAfee and Louise Bartlett. Since 1996, Mary Lou has called Arizona home. She spent most of her adult life as front office staff in the medical industry. Mary Lou will be missed by all of her family and friends.
Mary Louise went to Wantagh High School and graduated in the class of 1963. Her main occupation was working for the offices of James Dearing, D.O. She worked there for 20 plus years. She was actively involved at St. Paul’s Catholic Church and The Harvest House. In addition, her passions included cooking, watching game shows, arts and crafts and most importantly watching her grandchildren grow up.
Mary Louise is survived by her sons PJ Pelliccio and George Pelliccio, daughter Gina Garcia, daughter in laws Ana Pelliccio and Dawn Luft Pelliccio and son in laws Glenn Eder and Mark Garcia. Grandchildren include, Kaitlyn Levya, Dominick Pelliccio, Anthony Pelliccio, Nathan Eder, Paulina Pelliccio, Brooklyn Pelliccio, MJ Garcia, Lorenzo Garcia, Sabrina Wade, Samantha Sanchez, Serenity Villegas Lopez, and great grandchild Leann Wade.
She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Pelliccio, sister Jean Claire Smith and brother George Thomas McAfee.
The family would like to thank the caregivers in the memory unit of the Retreat at Alameda, specifically Abril, Reem, Nura, Fruit and Shakira for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her stay at the facility, especially during her final days.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary. 200 W. Beardsley Road. Phoenix, AZ 85027. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00pm with a Reception to follow from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary.
