Mary Ann Pollock

Mary was born in Fitchburg, MA in 1944. Her family relocated to St. Johnsbury, VT in 1960 where she attended the St. Johnsbury Academy graduating in 1962. In 1965, she married James Michael Pollock (Mike), also of St. Johnsbury. She and Mike had two sons, and lived in various towns throughout New England (including Brockton and Raynham, MA) before moving to Cypress, CA in 1979. While in Southern California, Mary continued raising their children and worked in various office manager positions including over 20 years at Burris Racing in Los Alamitos, CA. In 2004, Mike and Mary retired to Prescott Valley, AZ where they happily lived out their golden years together.

Mary was known by family and friends as a feisty transplanted New Englander with an infectious laugh who was a caring and supportive to all who knew her. She loved being a grandmother, and cherished every moment she could spend with Mike, their children, daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren. Mary relished her retired life in Yavapai County where she made lifelong friends throughout the area, frequented the Elks Theater in downtown Prescott, volunteered at the annual Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering, and dedicated many enjoyable years to senior co-ed Slow-Pitch softball with Mike.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Wendell and Kathleen Blanchard, and by her husband Mike who passed away in Prescott Valley in 2018. She is survived by her brother Wallace; sisters Susan and Sally; son Kevin and his wife Sharmaine; son Brian and his wife Wendy; and her grandchildren (Brittney, Kameron, Jessica, Nicole and Joshua).

A Celebration of Mary’s life will be held on December 4th at 1:00 pm at the Granville Community Center Clubhouse located at 5643 Granville Parkway, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314.
