Hi Dad,

It is August 1, 2023, and I have been missing you a lot.  I haven't been able to visit the gravesite b/c it is very hot outside.

I hope to go soon as I like visiting the gravesite to physically remind me that you were here once upon a time.

I often find it hard to believe that you are no longer with us as I thought you might live longer than your Dad.  Pero eras muy terco, and you didn't listen.  Then again, it might just be wishful thinking on my part.  My granddaughter reminded me that I should be grateful because I was already an adult when I lost you.  She is right, I am grateful for all the years I had you - almost 52 years!

It has been four years since you went to be with the Lord.  I miss you.  I was thinking of all of our trips together, and every time, I am on the road, I think of you.

I wonder how you are - the kids think you are busy helping Jesus with our dwelling places for when we get there.  :-)

I know in my mind that you are physically gone from the Earth, but in my heart, you are still as alive as ever.  

Christopher, your grandson, graduated college, and he is now working in northern Californi.  Elijah, your new great-grandson, celebrated his first birthday in January.  
Yesterday, we celebrated Itiel's high school graduation.  Due to COVID, most of us could not attend any graduations in person.  Thankfully, links were shared and we were able to watch them graduate.  Itiel's was live, so we saw him walk to get his diploma!!!  You would have been very proud!!!

We are all doing good.  Mom is doing well and traveling here and there with her daughters.  We miss you very much.  Honey and I visit the cemetery with the kids as it is a very peaceful place.  We know you are not there, but we enjoy going to visit your gravesite.  The kids were flying kites this last time, running around, just having fun.

It has been two years since you died.  A lot has happened since.  I miss you & wish you were still here with us completely healed.

We have been remembering you, visiting your grave site.  Honey, the kids and I have been having pastries & coffee in your honor like people used to do in our native country.

What I remember most is you caressing my arm & saying, si sabes que te quiero mucho verdad.  Y yo también a ti Dad.  Siento mucho haberte perdido.

Tonight will be a year since your departure to be our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.  I am sure heaven is way better than we could ever imagine here on Earth!

It has been hard not having you, yet I am grateful you have gone before us.  I cannot fathom you being in the hospital right now with this pandemic.  God is all knowing & I am grateful to Him & His mercy.

Your great-grandkids & I visited your grave site on Sunday & had fun enjoying the beautiful grass & peacefulness of the place.

Hi Daddy,

It's crazy how times passes by.  We think of you often.  Every day without you is hard.  I often wondered how it feels for you.  It amazes me how one day we are here on this Earth, and the next we pass on to eternity!

Michael was thinking of you the other day as we drove to Gris' house.  He was almost three, but he remembers.  They are getting big, life goes on . . . .

We got together yesterday; unfortunately, not everyone made time to be there as they are all busy running here and there.  I often wondered how we get so busy with life and things that we miss the most important thing . . . spending time with loved ones.  Time is for sure short!

The funny thing is that as much as I wish you were here with us, I am grateful that you are no longer suffering and toiling in this Earth.

I miss you so much.  It is hard to accept that life goes on without you in it.

It is not the same without you.   Although, I know that in heaven there is no more pain nor memories of those left behind, in God's mercy, here on Earth, you are missed as we think of you often.

Hi Daddy,

Today, as usual, I have been thinking of you.  Thursdays are especially difficult for me when I walk into the house and see your place at table empty.  Then, I remember how you used to tell me as you caress my arm, you know I love you right.  I love you very much. 

Even though, I know with my mind that this is a path in life, inevitable, my heart misses you terribly as it cannot comprehend that you are gone from this Earth. 

You have left a deep emptiness that only Christ can fill knowing that I may see you yet again!  I visited your grave the other day.  I know you are not there, but it is such a peaceful place, and it is where your body was left.  The hardest thing for me to understand is how life goes on without you in it.  It never stopped; even though, I wish it had for just a moment.

I am always thinking of you.  I miss you greatly!  There a times when I wish with all my heart that you were here with us.  Then, I realize that not being able to do the things you loved to do was no life for you.  

I rest in knowing that you are in God's arms because you chose to receive the gift that He offered you through His Son's sacrifice on the cross for all humanity.  I know by your life that you loved Him and sought His face every day.  I saw the renewing of your mind as evidenced by your actions.

Although I miss you terribly and find myself crying at odd times, I am happy that you are with the Lord, and like you told us, we'll see each other again if we choose Him!  It is my prayer, Dad, that I will be faithful in my walk with Him, so I can see you again!

I miss you!  You have taken a big part of me.  I never thought it would hurt so much.  I miss your calls, your council, your smile,  you have left an emptiness in my heart.  I found a message where you said you loved me.  It made me cry and happy at the same time.  I thank God you are not suffering any more,  I admire your strength and love for us to fight so hard for so long.-Thank you!  I keep thinking if God would have given you one more day, we could have spend it together, but I understand it was not your choice to make.  Tony and the girls miss you because we often speak of you.  This pass month have felt like an eternity without you by our side.  I love you so much papito 

I love u papito lindo. I miss your smile and I hear you saying you love me almost daily. I am glad you are in a better place. We love you we miss you. 

It’s crazy time is running by, a whole month has come and has gone and yet it feels as though it’s still not real. You fought so hard and you were so willing to help where ever you could! Miss you so much! Miss hearing your cheers and lectures. Missed dearly and never forgotten. 

My daddy, I miss him so much.  It has been a very difficult month without him.  Life is so short, before we know it is gone.  I am so glad we got to celebrate his life when he was still with us.

It has been a month, today, that the Lord grant you eternity with Him!  I miss you so much!  I miss talking to you and seeing you.  Although, I know you are in way better place, healed completely, I miss your presence with us.

I guess we are never ready to let go specially when we are so closed.  So, I want you to know that I love you with all my heart!  I know, you know this.  Mom misses you, and she is doing well.  We love her Dad.

Daddy, I miss you.  Although I know we are sojourners in the land, and I will see you again in Heaven, I do miss your presence here with us.  Thank you for being such a strong, faithful, hard working, loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, etc!  I will cherished the memories of our trips together, our Thursday nights, our disagreements, the many stories shared of you growing up.  I will always remember the story you always told of me . . . of crawling on my behind following you as to not be left behind, not that you would.  To me, you were the best Dad anyone could ever had!
