Melissa Kay Pfeiffer

Melissa Kay Pfeiffer, 43, of Phoenix went to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 20th, 2016. She is survived by her husband Jon Pfeiffer of Phoenix, mother Diana McKnight, of Phoenix, grandparents, LeRoy and Opal Knaub of Scottsbluff, NE, mother-in-law Kathy Pfeiffer of Rapid City, SD, sister Teresa Pfeiffer, brother Jeff (Shawn) Pfeiffer, niece Kirsten, nephew Steven Aunt and Uncle Teri (John) Beeman, Cousins: Chad (Sandra) Beeman, Brian (Michelle) Beeman. Aunts and Uncles, Jack and Ruth McKnight, Harold McKnight, Ada and Duane Walker.

Melissa received her education from Scottsbluff graduating in 1991 from Scottsbluff Senior High School. She went on to achieve a degree in journalism from WNCC in 1993.

Melissa went through her life with multiple surgeries for her heart and she never let it get her down. She always had a smile on her face and made everyone feel great when they met her. She loved music of all kinds, but her favorite was Jon Bon Jovi! She was able to go see him through the Make A Wish Foundation and it was the best time ever! She was lucky to share that joy with her future husband Jon.

She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth T. McKnight, Jr., father-in-law, Martin Pfeiffer, Grandmother, Velma McKnight and Grandpa Kenneth T. McKnight, Grandpa Charles McKnight and Grandma Leona McKnight, Grandma Lena Connolly and Grandpa Paul Connolly, Grandma Mary Knaub and Grandpa Jake Knaub, and Great-Great Grand Parents, Uncles, Aunts and Cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 26 from 10 to 11 AM with services following at 11 AM at Shadow Mountain Mortuary Chapel, 2350 E Greenway Rd., Phoenix
