Dear Mrs. Macchione and Lois,
I was out of town when my daughter phoned to tell me of Dr. Macchione's passing.  My family and I relocated to Phoenix in 1975 and we have been patients of his for 36 years.  My children were young kids then and my grandkids also were patients.  He not only was the best dentist ever, but a good man also.  My heartfelt sympathies go out to you.

Dr. Macchione will be sadly missed.  My family has gone to him for many years. He will be deeply missed by all of us.  Our deepest sympathy.

My family and I were saddened to hear about Dr. Macchione’s unexpected passing. Our prayers go out to his family and to Lois during this difficult time. He was an outstanding dentist whom I’d started seeing in the mid-1970’s as a young boy. He always had a great story to tell while picking or flossing my teeth! He will be missed.

Don’t worry; I’ll keep flossing twice a day as you’ve always told me to do.

Dear Lorraine & Family,
My husband and I were out of town when Dr. Macchione passed away. We were so very saddened by the news upon our return home.
We have been patients for years and we feel such a sense of loss too.
Your husband was so kind, so professional and always kept us laughing. We both enjoyed seeing him and Lois,as we trusted in their care. They always managed to make the dental visit as pleasant as possible...lots of joking around and humor!
Dr. Macchione was truly a very caring, honest, kind and decent man who took great pride in his work. He was especially  committed to bring the best dental care and advice to us every time we saw him. We will never forget his smile, his humor and his zest for life!
I will continue to floss 2 times everyday...as he always was on me about it!I can hear him say, pay me now or really pay me later if you don't floss 2 times a day!
He spoke often of the love he had for his family, for hockey and being with his friends. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.

Dear Lorraine and Family
Mike and I have been friends since 3rd grade @ St Marys Elementary School,Phx AZ.We played and battled imaginary
enemies, enjoyed rootbeer floats after 
our newspaper routes,shot BB guns lite
firecrackers...we were normal boys grow
ing up in the 50's.Later on, summer of 63 worked on a survey crew togeather, on the Navajo Rez;and played penny nickel dime poker when he came home for
Christmas break from the Univ of Washington. Mike was always ready to
lend and hand or offer advice when asked. I would say that I will miss
him...but also I feel we see each other
again someday...So...See ya Mike!

Mike, I am going to miss your emails and the friendship that we developed over the years. No, I miss that already.

Lorraine and Jay, this was such a shock. Please accept my deepest sympathies and condolences for your lose. Mike was my brother in law, my “gun buddy”, my friend.

Dear Lorraine and Jason,
We were so sad to hear of your loss.  Mike was not only a hockey friend of Harry and our very respected dentist but he was a great friend of Rose's as well.  Rose has " issues" about her teeth and Mike was able to distract her and engage her in discussions about gems and minerals.  We will surely miss Mike and please know that you are in our thoughts.

Lorraine and Jason, my heart goes out to the both of you in your loss. I have known Doc for as long as my sister has worked for him. We have all considered your family to be a part of ours after all these years.  We will remember him in his favorite Hawaiian shirts with fond memories.

The world will be a smaller place without you, Mike.  So many lives were touched by your friendship, kindness and sense of humor.  You will always live in our hearts.

I still cannot believe Doc is gone.  I just saw him a couple of months ago and was just saying yesterday before I received the sad news that I better go get my tooth checked or I would be in trouble the next time I saw Doc.  I've been a patient for over 30 years and always enjoyed his sense of humor and he was always so concerned about every one of his patients.  He is definitely one of a kind, always did what was best for his patients, not his wallet, and he had a heart of gold (even though he'd never admit it). My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.  He will be missed.

So sad to get the news of Docs passing. He has been our family's dentist for 30 years. He was always interested in what was happening in our lives and how the kids were doing. I can honestly say that we looked forward to going to the dentist! We will miss him greatly and never ever find a dentist like him! Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I cannot believe you are gone. It was my pleasure and honor to work with you and Lois for so many years. You were the best boss and friend and I learned so much from you.  You lived your life with honesty and integrity.  Your love for your family was evident in all your words and actions.  I saw first-hand the way you cared for your patients, always worrying about them and checking up on them after they left to make sure everything was okay.  Thank you for hiring me, for helping me through some of the rough patches in my life during the years I worked for you, and for being such a great guy.  Rest in peace, Doc.  I will miss you.
