Michael “Mike” McFarland, age 70, of Litchfield Park and formerly of Phoenix, passed away on December 15, 2016 at his daughter’s home from colon cancer. He was born December 1, 1946 in Long Beach, California and moved to Phoenix in July of 1978.
He honorably served as a Sergeant in the United States Army in Vietnam and was active with the local DAV chapter. He owned McFarland Plumbing and worked in west valley communities for over 30 years.
He is survived by his five daughters, Kelli Johnson, Amanda Manning, Teri Leffler, Heather McFarland, and Meghan Jensen; his son, Brian McFarland; two brothers, Paul and Steve McFarland; 22 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Winford and Alma McFarland, and by his older brother, Gerald “Jerry” McFarland.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Private funeral services will be held at Resthaven Park in Glendale.
