Michael John Webb Jr., known to nearly everyone as “John John,” tragically passed away at the age of 58 doing what he loved most — riding his motorcycle. Born and raised in Arizona, John grew up on the west side of Phoenix and attended Tolleson High School.
John John was known for his quiet nature, old soul, and free spirit. He was funny, genuine, compassionate, and humble — the kind of person who never needed to be the center of attention. He walked through life with a quiet confidence, beating to his own drum and leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
To many, John John was more than a friend — he was like a brother. He had a huge heart and cared deeply about the people around him. He was generous even when he could not afford to be, always willing to help someone in need, offer advice, share a laugh, or simply be there when it mattered most. His dry sense of humor, loyalty, and authenticity made him unforgettable.
John John touched the lives of countless lifelong friends and extended family members throughout the years. While he may not have thought much about the impact he had on the world, he meant the world to those who loved him — especially his little brother, Matt.
He is survived by his father, Michael Webb Sr.; his sister, Michelle Webb Bailey; his brother, Matthew Webb; nieces Rochelle Smouse, Emily Bailey, Sarah Bailey, Karli Bailey, and Ashley Saeger; nephew Timothy Webb; great-nieces Chloe and Kira Kalmoe; his longtime girlfriend, Cynthia Gelnette; and many lifelong friends who became family over the years.
John John was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Chambers; his nephew, Raymond Smouse; and his brother-in-law, Steve Bailey.
John John leaves behind decades of memories, laughter, loyalty, and love. Though his absence leaves an unimaginable void, the stories, lessons, and friendships he gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
