Michaele "Mike" Elaine Pehlman (McNulty), age 82, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona. Born on October 28, 1943, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the cherished daughter of the late Lyle McNulty and Lois (Blank) Dortch.
Mike was first married to Richard Bean, and together they had two daughters, Peggy and Cynthia. Following their divorce, Mike married Ronald E. Pehlman, and together they welcomed their son, Ronald C. Pehlman.
Mike enjoyed rockhounding, especially at the family-owned mining claims in Colorado. She also loved camping and spending time outdoors with her husband and friends, sharing many memorable adventures and discoveries together. Her passion for history extended to tracing family lineages through extensive genealogy work and maintaining an active dedication to the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She was also highly invested in the growth of her community, lending her time and talents to help plan vital local city developments, including Buffalo Ridge Park and the planning of State Route 51. When she wasn't researching or building up her town, she could always be found hunting for hidden treasures at local yard sales and thrift stores.
Mike was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle McNulty, Lois (Blank) Dortch, and her husband Ronald E. Pehlman. In a heartbreaking turn of events, the family also mourns the loss of Mike's beloved grandson, Nicholas Ferrin, who passed away on the exact same day.
Her legacy of love, curiosity and service lives on through her surviving family. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Yerkey; her children, Peggy Bean-Ferrin, Cynthia Gilderoy (Larry), and Ronald C. Pehlman; her grandchildren, Kristy Gray (Keith), Eric Ferrin, Geoffrey Gilderoy (Audrianna), Kimberly Gilderoy, and Ethan Preciado; and her great-grandchildren, Noah Mulnix and Tobias Gilderoy.

Her light, her love, and her adventurous spirit will live on forever.
